Laurent E. Le Gourriérec leads the Technology & Research Investments, Partnerships and Systems team of Alcatel-Lucent. His organization assesses the value of startup companies from a technical and business perspective, before recommending them for acquisition, investment or partnership. Laurent also manages the Strategic Partnership Program that Alcatel-Lucent has set-up with large industry players, including Intel, Freescale, and Qualcomm. Finally, Laurent is in charge of the organization and delivery of technical and competitive information across the company.
Laurent has built an extensive experience in Optics and Software Applications through various operational leadership roles in product line management, pre-sales, and financial planning. He has worked in Asia-Pacific, France, and the U.S. He is currently based in Bell Labs’ headquarters in Murray Hill, New Jersey.
An American and French bi-national, Laurent holds an MSEE from Supélec with a major in Information Technology and Telecommunications. Laurent is a Certified Independent Director, with a joint degree from the Institut Français des Administrateurs and Sciences Po. He is also the Vice-President of the Advisory Board of I-Source, a member of the Strategy Board of Innovacom, a board observer at Team8 and an independent advisor at DockOn.
Laurent frequently speaks at conferences in the U.S. and Israel on Corporate M&A topics and gives MBA master classes at HEC.
