Fariborz Derakhshan is a senior research scientist and inventor at Bell Labs, Germany. He is working on the design and development of new network architectures, advanced protocols and innovative algorithms for future wireless and converged communication systems. He has contributed to the creation of mechanisms to reduce the power emission of base station and the exposition of humans to radio emission. His current research focus is on the design of algorithms, protocols and architectures based on Artificial Intelligence for optimizing the resource efficiency in cloud environments. He is further working on the technical and legal aspects of data protection and data security in cloud and AI systems. The focus of his current research interest is Neuromorphic Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Computing and Quantum Artificial Intelligence.
