Sensetale ADEP as scalable realtime M2M architecture for  ITS applications

Application architectures for verticals, and ITS in particular, need to satisfy a number of often conflictory requirements. The total latency due to devices, network and computing needs to be deterministic and guaranteed to be below an application specific threshold ( O(ms) ). Application functionality is typically distributed over several devices, and these devices can enter or leave the system at any time. Often, solutions need to deal with big differences in scale - ideally, the same architecture should be able to handle very small and very large scale deployments in a cost effective way. The Bell Labs Sensetale platform has been designed to cope with above requirements. The presentation will share some insights on how the Sensetale platform has been used to create a safety and comfort service that was demonstrated on Ford's LPG premises during the course of the FD Vision project.
