Ollie Burns

Dublin, Ireland

Innovative and creative mechanical/product designer and toolmaker with many years experience working in various manufacturing environments. This background ensures a very creative approach to the design and  manufacture of prototypes and demonstration rigs. I'm an integral member of the team who works closely with researchers on the development of their ideas, and I try to carry out all work to a high and exacting standard.

Engineering and design is also the area my hobbies are in. I have a workshop of my own and spend any spare time making objects of desire, Some of my work has been on display in the National Museum of Ireland.
I try to blend both metal and wood together in my work and have a great appreciation for all art and craft disciplines.
Married with 3 children, sport used to be a big part of my life but I have to settle for 5 a Side soccer as my sporting outlet. Music also helps to make my world go around and will always have something playing as I work, anything from AC-DC to Tom Waits, to Miles Davis and Bob Dylan.
