Ming Lu received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Radio Engineering and Communications from Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi’an, China, and Ph.D. degree in Electronics Engineering from Xidian University, China. He joined Lucent Technologies in 1997 and was involved in 2G/3G/4G/5G wireless system modeling, simulation and performance analysis at Lucent Technologies, Alcatel-Lucent and Nokia. In 2013, he earned a DMTS award. He transferred to Bell Labs in 2018 and worked on the development of person detection and tracking pipelines for several demo systems. His current research interests include computer vision, multi-camera multi-target tracking, person and non-person object re-identification, and scene understanding.
