David Vanderfeesten


DAVID VANDERFEESTEN is a senior research engineer with the Alcatel-Lucent Bell Labs IP Platforms research department in Antwerp, Belgium. He started his career at Alcatel first as software developer and later as system engineer on a broad set of projects embedded real-time applications in broadband switches, call handling for SIP-compliant multimedia servers and broadband access bandwidth management. Joining Bell Labs, he specialized in service oriented architectures and data federation. More recently, he built up large expertise on scalable distributed software architectures and big data problems. He successfully applied his research into various business cases over the last years and is consulted for big data challenges at different occasions.
