Research Interests

Education

I received engineer degree (MS) from Telecom Paris Tech in 1994 and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Paris VI, France, in 1999 for work on non-linear optics in III-V semiconductor and in optical fiber. After a postdoctoral year at the French aerospace institute (ONERA) working on Mid-IR OPO, I joined the Alcatel research center (now Nokia Bell Labs) in 2000.

Professional activities

I have been involved is research on optical fiber amplifiers, transparent optical mesh network, optical packet switching technologies and more recently on spatial division multiplexing technologies and submarine transmission. I have authored and co-authored more than 100 conference and journal papers and filled 37 patents.
