Biography

Marzieh Dashti joined Bell Laboratories, Alcatel-Lucent  in November 2013 as a Member of Technical Staff.  She is leading the "Localization" work in Small Cells Research department at Bell Labs, Ireland. Prior to this,  she was Marie-Curie postdoctoral researcher in the wireless communications group at the University of Sheffield, UK (June 2012-Oct 2013). From Jan 2011 to May 2012, She worked as research engineer at Personal Positioning Algorithms Research group at Tampere University of Technology and Nokia research center, Tampere, Finland. Marzieh received PhD and MSc degrees in telecommunications engineering, respectively from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan, in December 2011 and Amirkabir University of Technology, Iran, in 2007. She also worked as visiting research student  at Aalto University School of science and Technology (TKK), Helsinki, Finland, in 2009.   Her research interests are positioning of wireless nodes/objects, signal processing for wireless positioning, WLAN-based indoor localization, and location-based services.
