Biography

Jin Cao has been a member of technical staff at Bell Laboratories,
Alcatel-Lucent since 1997. She got her Ph.D. from the Department of
Mathematics and Statistics, McGill University, Canada in 1997 and
joined Bell Laboratories later in the year.  Her Ph.D. thesis was on
the statistical analysis of brain images. Her current research focuses
on statistical problems arising from data networks, for example,
network tomography, traffic modeling and simulation, performance
analysis, and data streaming algorithms.
