Biography

Diomidis S. Michalopoulos joined the Munich site of Nokia Bell Labs in 2015. His daily work involves research on 5G technologies, particularly on 5G Architecture and Radio aspects, as well as leading a work package in a European Horizon2020 project on 5G. His responsibilities also include developing and presenting technology demos at fairs and conferences, such as the Mobile World Congress.

Prior to joining Nokia Bell Labs, Diomidis was employed by the University of British Columbia, Canada, and the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany, as postdoctoral researcher and teaching instructor. His teaching activities involved courses on Digital Communications and distributed MIMO techniques.

Diomidis obtained the Engineering Diploma and PhD degree from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece.
