Rajeev Rastogi received the B. Tech degree in Computer Science from the Indian
Institute of Technology, Bombay in 1988, and the masters and Ph.D. degrees in
Computer Science from the University of Texas, Austin, in 1990 and 1993,
respectively. He joined Bell Laboratories in Murray Hill, New Jersey, in 1993
as a Member of Technical Staff (MTS) in the Information Sciences
Research Center, and became a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff
(DMTS) in 1998. In 1999, he was appointed as the Director of the Internet
Management Research Department, and in 2003, he became a Bell Labs Fellow.
Rajeev Rastogi is active in the field of databases and has served as a program
committee member for a number of conferences in the this area. His writings
have appeared in numerous ACM and IEEE publications and other professional
conferences and journals. He currently serves on the editorial boards of
IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, and the Knowledge and
Information Systems (KAIS) journal.
