I am Ankur Jain, Member Technical Staff 1, working in Bell Labs India.
Education:
B. Tech. in CSE, IIT Delhi, August 2006.
Interests:
I like to be a jack of all trades. My areas of
interest span wireless and cellular technologies, IPTV, AI, sensors
and hardware. I am a hands-on person and love to
implement and see things working and not just on papers. I have done
projects in the areas of Sensor Networks, Wireless 802.11
LANs, GPS, Windows Mobile OS, IPTV and ad-hoc mesh networks.
I like to work on venture projects and wish to propose a venture idea in the future.
Current Project:
Currently
I am working on the Alzette ALV Project. I am responsible for
implementation of class of service in wifi mesh network. I also am
involved in network configuration module.
Previous Projects:
I have designed and implemented the Network iPod.
The solution is aimed at pushing mobile content to the service provider
and providing a clean and transparent access to it on the mobile. The
platform for the prototype was Windows CE 3.0.
I implemented an adaptive network streaming functionality for the MyViewTV
Project. This involved packet level hacking of WMV messages when there
is bandwidth variation in the network and using them to swith the
ongoing video stream to a lower/higher bitrate.
