Yes! The Windows®-based version of nmake is based on the Windows Services for UNIX (SFU/Interix) porting/development environment. For details see Support for Windows® Platforms.

What is this Microsoft nmake?

Microsoft also has a development tool called nmake. The Microsoft nmake has no relation to Alcatel-Lucent nmake and the two should not be confused. The two tools are not compatible, do not expect your Alcatel-Lucent nmake Makefile to work with Microsoft nmake, or vice versa.
