Packet of the whole communication network has be a trend which cannot be stopped. On the one hand, in the transmission network based on TDM MSTP equipment has been replaced by PTN/IPRAN equipment based on packet technology. On the other hand, with the full deployment of LTE mobile networks, the mobile base station backhaul transmission have also been the packet. Wireless transmission technology is an important part in the communication network. In this packet driving environment, the wireless transmission equipment is evolution to the packet based digital microwave from PDH/SDH digital microwave. Wireless transmission of packet has many excellent technologies, such as adaptive modulation, wireless link aggregation, microwave Ethernet frame header compression. The technologies overcome the limit of wireless transmission capacity of radio and the lack of frequency resource, and improve the quality of wireless link under various conditions. This article mainly expounds the evolution and the characteristics of wireless transmission technology from the technology of packet radio transmission mode, many aspects of packet wireless transmission technology.
