TTI is a private SME that was founded in 1996, located in Santander (Spain). Currently TTI comprises an expanding team of 100 highly qualified engineers well supported by key lab and fabrication assets. TTI works in the technological forefronts of space, military, telecommunications, science, and information technology sectors.
Its main expertise is organized around 2 major business units (BU).
- RF & Microwave & Antennas technologies BU is responsible for the HW development of state of the art equipment/modules for communications like Solid State Power Amplifiers, RF-front ends, customised antenna solutions from very low bands up to Ka band.
- Software Development and Systems Integration BU is mainly focused on wireless communications technologies (WLAN/WPAN, IEEE802.11x, Bluetooth, cellular networks, etc), covering aspects as ad hoc routing protocols, heterogeneous access devices, next generation architectures, advanced hand-over techniques, etc.
TTI participates actively, with the main European research organisms and the major telecommunications companies, in several R&D projects (like FP7 EARTH, BeFEMTO, SMART SANTANDER, etc.) with the aim of developing new more efficient solutions with lower energy consumption for wireless networks (Wimax, WiFi, etc.) and 4G cellular networks (such as LTE and LTE-A), as well as contributing to new platforms development in order to make the Internet of Things (IoT) real.
