The GreenTouch Consortium recently sponsored a workshop during the EU Sustainable Energy Week, 20 June 2012.  Held in Brussels, Belgium, the workshop allowed attendees to be a part of the discussion on how Information and Communication Technology is enabling sustainable lifestyles and a healthier planet.  Also covered was the future Internet and other data networks that will form the technological fabric within smart communities that enables sustainable lifestyles. The panel covered technologies and trends that will mold the Internet of 2020 and the reality that sustainability will likewise be the imperative that shapes this ubiquitous infrastructure.
