Nokia Bell Labs in Oulu is co-located with the Oulu factory and Mobile Networks R&D. The Oulu site, “home of radio”, combines radio research, development and manufacturing under the same roof in a very unique way, and is one of the leading radio research hot spots in the world. Oulu Bell Labs team has key expertise in 5G standardization, air interface, massive MIMO, radio protocols and E2E. They focus on standardization of 3GPP New Radio, Radio Access Network and Service & Systems Aspects. They hold strong collaborations with University of Oulu including the national 6G flagship programme.
